ideal base for exploring doncaster's best parks and attractions
I had a wonderful two-night stay where the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and I truly appreciated how close we were to the beautiful Doncaster Museum and Art Gallery, just a short stroll of about 1.5 km away, along with the fantastic outdoor space of Armthorpe Park, roughly 3 km away, perfect for those leisurely weekend walks.

The modern decor and eye-catching art in the lobby create a vibrant first impression, making it a comfortable base to explore. The room, although facing a main road, insulated well against noise and offered thoughtful touches like tea and coffee with shortbread biscuits.
The entrance could use a refresh, as it feels a bit tired and worn. The bathroom presents some accessibility issues with a high bathtub, making it difficult for those with mobility concerns. Breakfast experiences vary. I found it frustrating when the wrong food was served, and having to ask for cutlery added irritation to an otherwise relaxed start to the day. The restaurant setup complicates breakfast timing, making it feel less welcoming, especially if you're near the end of service hours.

Had a great time with friends! We visited the local races and enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere at the bar afterward. The restaurant served an amazing hot breakfast, which was perfect after our long night. Just a heads up, the first and second floors could use some refurbishment, but overall, it was a fun stay!
One downside was the shower pressure. it could have been much better. It left us a bit frustrated, especially at the start of our day.

Highly Recommend it for Race Enthusiasts
The ambiance is rich in character, and the food? The breakfast there was outstanding, I mean really remarkable, made my mornings something special. Had a great time enjoying a couple drinks at the bar with the staff, who go above and beyond — they even remembered my name!
It wasn’t exactly inexpensive, but manageable I suppose.
